G0440 2 HP Cyclone Dust Collector

G0440 Editor's Pick by American Woodworker
Grizzly has produced a really great line of cyclones. The icing on the cake is the built-in remote-control magnetic switch with timer. This convenience feature is worth more than $70 and is exclusive to the Grizzly cyclones.
The Grizzly Cyclones have a ramped inlet design that acts like a neutral vane. As a result, they achieve excellent separation and airflow performance. A mere spoonful of fine dust enters the filter bag from each barrel-load of shop dust. Grizzly's cartridge filter material captures 99.9 percent of particles 0.2 to 2 microns in size. Independent performance rating tests for the pleated filter material can be found on Grizzly's Web site. Grizzly offers a built-in filter brush that moves up and down inside the filter like a chimney sweep's brush. This bonus feature makes filter cleaning convenient and fast.

Customer Comment, G0440 Cyclone Dust Collector

I was sitting at my desk this morning going through my e-mails and noticed one from you folks. And, I just thought I'd take this opportunity to send your back an e-mail that was long overdue.

Back in 1995, I was a finance and sales manager for a car dealership. And, while talking to a customer, I noticed he had a catalog in his hand. When he set it down, I saw it was a Grizzly catalog. I told him that I did woodworking as a hobby but had never heard of this company. He handed me the catalog and said, "Here, keep it. You have no idea what you've been missing or how much money you've been wasting." So, I took my new catalog to my desk and flipped through the pages for a few minutes...Okay...for the rest of the day! About two or three weeks later, I ordered my first Grizzly tool. A 3HP G1023 cabinet style table saw! I compared this saw and its features and construction to everything out there! Delta, Powermatic and all the rest. I was even told by a worker at a local woodworking store while looking at a Powermatic, "Buy the Grizzly. Dollar for dollar, nothing can touch it. We even use some of their equipment in the back!" So, the saw arrives at my house. I call my brother-in-law over to help me get this beast in the basement. (Not an easy task!) I proceed to set it up only to find out that, everything was nearly perfect right out of the box! I mean...PERFECT! I myself, have purchased many more tools from you folks. But, I have turned more people on to you guys than I can count! All of my friends and family all own tons of Grizzly tools. TONS!

Now...about 10 years ago, I left the automobile business to spend more time with my family (and, to do more woodworking!) and, I now do the purchasing for Schutte Buffalo Hammer Mill. If you check your records, you'll see that we have purchased a milling machine and dozens and dozens of dust collectors and cyclones from you folks! I believe in your products and I have an enormous amount of respect for your company and staff. I've taken the drive from Buffalo, NY to your Williamsport (now, Muncy) showroom many times with friends and family that couldn't wait for shipping! I have witnessed the way your staff treats your customers and handles any questions or problems that they may have. And, I have to tell you, I was absolutely impressed with what I saw. The courtesy and professionalism was far above what I had expected. (Isn't that, sad?) You have no idea how refreshing it is to deal with you folks at Grizzly. Being the purchaser, I deal with a lot of suppliers. You people are among the best I've ever dealt with.

In closing, I'd just like to say one last thing. I don't know who the business genius's are behind the whole "Grizzly Industrial" idea. But, I have to say... You people should be giving seminars on how a company should be run to every company and business in the U.S.! I wish you continued success!

Best Regards,
